I’ve spent the last few days in the achingly beautiful misty landscapes of the New England region of New South Wales (Australia). My job was to document the work of two über-talented artists: flower whisperer @annabellehickson and cake poet @gillianbellcake
The event was the union, under a blooming arch, of @kimmiepeacey and @sandy_cameron I was blown away by their beauty, their happiness and their incredible strength. I couldn’t help but sneakily steal a few snippets of my first wedding in Country Australia. One I will never forget.
See a glimpse of the original 1900 shearing shed, intact, which is rare, a touching witness of Australia’s history. There will be more photos of that gem and behind the scenes action. I shot like a mad woman and after deleting a lot of, well, mishaps, I’m left with a staggering stock of 1977 shots and 503 video rushes…
Be ready for some intense spamming of flowers, cakes, trees in the mist and other beauties from the ever so inspiring Australian bush. I’ll start with a little behind the scene video where you can see @annabellehickson picking flowers to create her signature floral decor.
Music:
First video by the Ambassadors “Me and the man in the moon”
Second video by the Washingtonians “Tishomingo Blues”
Shot near Walcha, New South Wales, Australia
Thank you Kimmie for allowing me to share this mini-movie here.
