Dainty Dumpling House in Miranda Westfield is a very nice indigo restaurant with delicious authentic Chinese food.
The decor is very pretty and could make you forget that you are in a shopping mall. I love the wall paper which reminds me of my old room when I was a kid.
Their black vinegar and chilli sauce are particularly delicious. It is a bit unfortunate that you will never find on your table any mini sauce dish to do your own mix of sauces for dumplings… But if you ask, you will get one.
Their Xiao Long Bao are delicious even if their skin is not as fine as the one you’ll taste at Din Tai Fung in the same mall. The flavour is rich and very good.
They are made on the spot in a glassed kitchen which is fascinating to watch.
Their pork wonton in tangy chilli sauce dish is a masterpiece. You need to try this!
The sauce is a marvel, the skin is light and tasty, the filling is absolutely delicious.
Chilli oil, even if a pretty straight forward condiment, can be very different from a restaurant to another. Dainty Dumpling’s chilli oil is a very good, fragrant and strong one.
In the kitchen, busy chefs are cooking up a storm.
On our last visit e chose a very simple crispy skin chicken which was very nice especially when the pieces very triple dipped in the sauce :)
This post will be kept up-to-date with new photos of this where we go very regularly.
